2021 GLC 43 Cold Start Problem
Prefacing by stating I am calling the dealer (under warranty) about this but thought maybe some of you can shed light on the following. The car is housed in a garage in the Chicago climate BTW. 2021 AMG GLC 43 with 24k miles and no mods except Renntech exhaust flip module. No prior mechanical issues.
I started noticing a phenomenon that when the weather is cold (around 30F), it takes a few pushes of the ignition button to start the car. Not every time but usually when the car has been "sitting" for several hours and is cold. Everything else looks fine -- the brake is pressed, all the dash lights come on, there are no errors -- but once you press the START button, nothing happens. You then have to press it again in order for the ignition to work. Yesterday, the car was outside for a few hours in the 25-32F temp and the button had to be pressed 4-5 times before the car started. Alternator? Battery was recently checked and is fine. In the summer, the car starts fine every time.

Anyway, the dealer has the car again to figure out once again what's going on. They are saying that if they cannot recreate the problem, they will release the vehicle back to me. Nothing wrong on code scanner per them.
Will see what happens.
