New coils and plugs for GLC63S

So on my recent purchase of a GLC63S (2021, 23K miles), I was having an intermittent misfire problem where some unknown number of cylinders were just going along for the ride, along with a check engine light. Took it back to CarMax under their 90-day warranty who took it to Walnut Creek Mercedes Benz, a full on MB dealership. They could not duplicate the misfire (because it was intermittent) but they nonetheless agreed to replace ALL 8 plugs and coils with Carmax picking up the tab. I am very pleased at how CarMax really stepped up to the plate on this. My experience with Carmax has been excellent. They brought the car up from L. A. to SF for a paltry $250. Carvana probably would have charged me their usual $1,900. And that $250 was pre-purchase with no strings attached. And you get to drive the car for 10 days with a full refund of everything if you decide to not go through with the purchase. Based on only my experience, they seem to run a really efficient operation and stand by their product.

MB will have my car for another week. How much does a MB dealer change to replace plugs and coils? I reckon it must be around $3,000.

That is good to hear, it is not common but this engine did have instances of coil or/and plugs leak, bad reported on the forums.
