Up-sizing tires on OEM rims AMG GLC 63s
I am considering replacing tires on my 2021 GLC 63s (21-inch OEM rims) for two reasons; (i) Pirelli Scorpions which I have on now produce unpleasant vibrations at higher speeds, especially in long curves (apparently perfect rims, alignment and balancing, 32 PSI), (ii) roads in CT are getting worst and worst and I came to the point where I would like to have some more cushion.
After spending considerable amount of time researching available options, the tires I like are Pilot Sport All-Season 4, front: 255/45R21/XL 106V POR and rear: 295/40R21/XL 111V POR (official Porsche tires). According to information available on Michelin website and calculations I made using Wheel-Size.com there should be a good fit there in terms of revs per mile (very similar ratio when comparing to OEM front/rear tires) and a small scrub radius change (from 0 to -3 mm front, and -5 mm rear) that should not visibly affect driving feel. The increased diameter of the new tires still leaves a lot of fender clearance.
Originally, I replaced the PZeros two weeks after buying the car with Pirelli Scorpion tires because of crabbing and on top of that, I got tired of having summer and winter wheel sets for my cars.
I wonder if anybody has up-sized their tires on GLC 63s (21-inch rims)?
