I am perplexed at the non availability of the cornering lights function that is not available with the digital lights on my car . it was available on older models unless we need to activate it ??
I know the digital lights follow your turns but don't seem to have a specific light when turning for nearby

I have a '21 GLC43. It came with the adaptive lights (high been on/off), and the cornering feature where the lights follow the steering wheel around corners (not sure of the feature name but it was on the sticker, I can check if you really want to know). I've since enabled the matrix high beams. Frankly you're not missing much on the cornering lights.

I found them convenient on my 2020 and so it's confirmed we only have adaptive headlamps with the digital system and no more extra cornering specific ones?
This is what Google AI Search says on this subject; it's called Adaptive Light Function (see the green text below).
"The code 640 refers to the LED Intelligent Light System feature, which was an available optional upgrade (priced around $650 MSRP) for the 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 SUV.
Overview of the Code 640 Option
SA Code 640: This internal Mercedes-Benz option code specifically designates the "LED Intelligent Light System".
Availability: It was an optional feature on the 2022 AMG GLC 43 SUV model.
Cost: It was typically offered as a $650 upgrade at the time of purchase.
Features of the LED Intelligent Light System
The system uses adaptive LED headlights to enhance visibility and safety by automatically adjusting the road illumination based on various conditions.
Adaptive Light Function: Headlights pivot with steering movements to illuminate the path ahead around corners.
Adaptive High Beam Assist: The system automatically switches between dipped (low) and main (high) beams, adjusting the light range to avoid dazzling other drivers.
Country and Highway Modes: Automatically adjust the beam pattern and range based on the vehicle's speed and road type to provide optimal visibility (e.g., increasing range by approximately 50 meters in Highway mode).
Extended Range Fog Lamps: Improves roadside illumination while reducing glare in foggy conditions.
In North America, vehicles equipped with this system (SA Code 640) can often have the even more advanced "Intelligent High Beam Plus" functionality activated. "
Thanks for that explanation although even with the adaptive system on my headlights cornering is not lit up as well. Is there another settings i need to activate as I haven't found any?
This is what I have and does anyone know what these lights are for ?
