New 2025 AMG GLC 43 owner with 20” 10-spoke wheels. Tried to add air to the tires but access to the valve stems is severely restricted by the design of the wheels making removal of the stem cap extremely difficult.
Wondering if the trim surrounding the valve stem is meant to be removed in order to gain proper access.
Assume other owners have experienced same?

You posted no photo to illustrate your problem, but there are many air inflator chuck designs. One that has an extension and right angle end might work for you.

Thanks- there’s not even enough clearance around the valve stem to get my fingers in there to unscrew the cap.Originally Posted by streborx

I’m having to use needle-nose pliers to reach in and unscrew the cap- this cannot be right.

I used a small 1/4 “ socket with a 4 “ extension that just fit over the cap without compressing it too much to remove the valve caps. Sorry I don’t remember the size of the socket. They are hard to get your fingers on to get them started. Frustrating for sure.

Thanks so much bro. The day after I drive the car home I get an alert the tire pressures are off- understandable given sharp drop in temperature overnight. Still, the last problem I ever expected to encounter is an inability to access the valve stems. Defies reason why wheels would be designed this way. Thanks again!Originally Posted by Mort

Maybe you could install valve extenders that dually owners use.
