Could a failing battery cause any of this?

Could a failing battery cause any of this?
I'm having the following issues with a 2021 GLC 43. I haven't gotten any low battery voltage alerts, but my previous Audi would have all kinds of weird issues when the battery got low, so I'm wondering if that's the case here.
Issue #1: On the first start-up of the day, I get a "Place the key in the marked spot" message EVEN THOUGH the key is in that spot. The car starts a few seconds later. I have tried replacing the battery in the remote but this didn't change anything.
Issue #2: I have recently gotten 3 more warning messages related to the Driver Assistance systems not working (lane keep, adaptive cruise, traffic sign assist, active brake assist).
