I had several Mercedes in last 20 years, ML350, ML500, GLK350, E350, GLE350. And the parking sensors respond are slower compare to BMW & Japanese cars.
Does anyone know if the 2019 GLE450 is faster?

I agree, rubbish sensors why they only beep when on red and nearly hitting an object is unbelievable, they should beep and progressively get louder on amber. And the location of the rear parking sensors above the back seats is illogical, in the days of rear view and 360 degree cameras should be moved, would need 4 eyes to watch screen and sensor lights.

Just got my 2020 GLE today, and yes, still slow

I drive an e class, year 18 and it's my 3rd Mercedes..
Had the cla 16 and e class 15..
Before I drove BMW.
But yes I will say.. that Mercedes parking sensors kinda live there own life,they often bips without a cause.
Sometimes I just turn in a corner, and the parking sensors starts screaming, and I don't have anything near me..

To be honest BMW sensors never behave like that..
And I really never would like to go back to BMW.
But I think that Mercedes should take responsibility and solve this, because I've never experienced this on other cars..
The wired thing is, when i use the self parking service or what not..
It does a fantastic job, I'm really stunned how good the new e class park it self..it amazing.
it's not because I'm bad at parking, I'm a petrol head..
But it's so convenient.
