Any chance you can have your friend look into our build? Its been stuck at B4 for a bit and I am concern it wont arrive on April 26th when we return our 2015 X5d at lease end. I already extended it to max of 6 months allowed by BMW. BMW really wants us to buy another X5 and we kept pushing it off but they wont allow more than 6 months lease extension which is very ridiculous.
I can give you build number?
Thanks!

My car finished production last Saturday, 4/6 and shipped 4/8; showing ETA to dealer of 4/24.
I'm selling my current car 4/21 and dealer offered me a loaner for the gap. I'm getting excited now! This is from NetStar today:
So delivery ETA has slipped a little, showing 4/25 to the railhead, then will be a couple days to the dealer. Dealer says the ETA always slips. If it gets to the dealer 4/27, likely will be 4/29 before we get it.My car finished production last Saturday, 4/6 and shipped 4/8; showing ETA to dealer of 4/24.

My GLE 450 arrived this AM on the exact date scheduled and is in Prep. I won’t pick it up until Wednesday or Thursday since they are doing Xpel
protective film before I take delivery. I might get time tomorrow to take a look at the fit and finish but was told that it is very good. Finally after almost a 5 month wait.

Thanks guys I’m excited that the wait is finally over. I have a lot to learn about Mercedes and MBUX so it may take me some time.

So I just got a call from Dealer today about my order (placed 2 weeks ago). He said the estimated build date is August, but, the only issue is, Mercedes doesn't have E-ABC for it. He said there is no estimate on how long the delay, nor did they mention about the cause. They just said its not available. I am not sure what I should do at the moment. I told the SA that I would wait a few weeks to see if there is more information on the same build (with E-ABC).

Yikes. I submitted my build two weeks ago as well. The dealership originally told me it would take about 3 months before production. I haven't gotten any word from the dealership since day one but this doesn't bode well for the rest of us waiting for our orders.Originally Posted by zengshengliu

I canceled my Feb order when I found it would be August delivery at earliest. Found a car at a local dealer...Pick it up Thursday. Never ordered before and never will again.

The SA told me the opposite lol. He said no one must be ordering it so Mercedes is not building it... I feels like he underestimate the number of people who wants E-ABCOriginally Posted by Ron.s

Maybe they aren’t building them that fast, just assigning Serial Numbers. I’m trying not to feel guilty guys but it’s very difficult

The VIN is assigned at the very start of production. Not sure what that really means - maybe just a body shell is assigned to that production. After painting "bodies are sent to the ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval System) where the painted bodies are stored. The ASRS enables a Just-In-Time automated storage and retrieval of any painted body that our Production Control department orders. Upon order the painted body automatically travel to the appropriate assembly shop." Originally Posted by Ron.s

So, a body could be assigned a VIN and just set there for weeks until all the other parts are available. No way they are going to partially assemble a vehicle then pull it from the line to wait. Mine took 5 1/2 weeks from that time to finish.
My build still at B4 as of today, Canadian side still need to certify 450 according to my sales
Tery your S/N is the first I've seen among the custom ordered that is lower than mine: 20844 and they're still telling me "4-6 week ETA"!
