No way to do that - only dealers and MBUSA itself can access the NetStar system, AFAIK. An option other than the dealer is to call MBUSA Customer Assistance Center, but they may just refer you back to dealer.

I see, thanks!

Somewhat related note, I was told the delay on mine was due to a faulty part that's part of the power second row seats assembly in cars with the 3rd row package. They had to replace that part and that's what caused the delay. He also told me there was a fire at the supplier's factory that makes headliners for MB and that may cause it too, but that was more of a rumor.

I put a deposit down on 3/11 for a dealer allocation and was told earlier this week that the "complete tag was assigned." He had originally told me it would be at the dealer in a couple of weeks. Kind of rough because my wife and I are down to 1 car while we wait.

Will your dealer not give you a loaner? I pick up one tomorrow for our gap period.

Hadn't thought about that. Guess it doesn't hurt to ask!

I don't know, but two months ago I was told my MBUX couldn't be ordered at that time. Now that it's red-lined, the MBUX with interior assistant is there, but my multi contour seats with ventilation and heat are missing, along with the intelligent lights. Dealer was on phone with them yesterday, and I'm supposed to hear Monday if that is remedied.

I picked mine up yesterday at a local dealer. I had been on order since Feb at another dealership that first told me April, then May and finally August delivery. I canceled the order and found one at dealership. Everything I wanted and a little more but a decent discount. So far love the car..Here's the Build.

My preliminary thought is I like the power. The E Assist eliminates Turbo lag for a smooth linear feel. On the other hand there isn’t that power surge like our Audi SQ5. Nothing explosive but a smooth and powerful feeling. At full throttle it shifts down and has a fair amount of acceleration. The claimed 0-60 of 5.5 seconds is probably accurate. Personally I would like a little more power but that’s just me. The smooth power is probably a little deceptive making it feel like a Luxury SUV instead of a Sports Car.
Lots of Torque, it will be interesting to see how it tows my 2200 lb UTV and trailer.
This is a quality Luxury vehicle in every way. Not perfect but close. Some may complain about the hard plastic lower doors and dash. Practical vs image maybe!

Just got some information my the SA. He said the E-ABC is available for October production, meaning if I want to keep the build, I will most likely have to wait until November to get the car. According to him, this is the only thing that is delayed / not available at the moment which cause the delay.

So at this time we are fed up with the uncertainty and our 2015 X5d goes back lease end on this Friday and I already extended it 6 months max past expiration. Since we had a 25k miles a year lease and it was for work the buy out amount wasnt that bad and I will go ahead and finance the buy out for 2 years and keep that payment going until our 2020 GLE450 comes in. I told my salesman he owes me at Mercedes to buy it at a good price at trade in. This way it keeps us safe if the GLE takes longer than few weeks.

We didnt have our GLE equipped with E-ABC but with everything else including Airmatic and it went into production 3rd decade of March and was supposed to be done 4/7 but got pushed to 4/24 but still is B4. I doubt its just only the E-ABC but other parts including MBUX etc.

There are most likely other parts that are causing the delay. For MBUX, it wasn't available initially (late March) but was mark as available in early April (what my SA told me), although I don't know what it means when Mercedes mark something as "available". Do they mean "in stock, ready to install"? Or "we can prepare the part when needed (but not in stock)"

I believe its most likely available to be install at factory only.

How long typically do you have to wait from the time you give an order to the dealer until you get a VIN or other reference to track your build. I placed my order with the dealer 2 weeks ago and I am wondering if they are holding my order waiting for allocation or something. At first the SA told me they would change an existing order in the system to get me in ASAP. Now he says I am in QUE. What should I expect?

I read on the MBCA forum there was a supply issue with transfer cases, as well.

The dealer should be able to give you a PO number immediately upon acceptance by MBUSA. If they can't do that they don't have an allocation for you. Once production starts a VIN is assigned, but the PO is the main tracking number.

Still B4 status for me and 18 days later. It says production day of 4/26 for past 2 weeks.. It started production on 04/04/2019 so I hope not too long. We decided to drop back the 2015 BMW X5d to dealership at end of lease next monday and use our extra car for now. I told my dealership to keep on pressuring them but i doubt it will do much. Greg, whats the stat on ur GLE? It should be arriving soon and Im excited to see the pics and your impressions!!! I will live vicariously though you till our GLE comes lol.

Mine was B4 for 44 days, but hopefully they’re getting things sorted out. Last I checked it was due into town tomorrow, and at dealer shortly after. Signing papers Friday. Sold our ‘12 ML last weekend. Dealer gave us a GLC loaner. It’s been s long slog but should be worth it!

Thats fantastic! Are you financing or leasing it? Our previous Mls we did lease them for 25k miles a year 36 months for our work so we could write it off. This time I am thinking of financing it for 60 months. I got 3.0% off MSRP of 81,250k. I am going to push for 3.5 to 4% off MSRP since we have been buying from this dealer for more than 10 years.

I've never leased; we keep our cars for full model cycle. Part cash, financing rest through credit union. Got 3.5% off, 3rd car from this sales guy. Using MBCA $500 discount as well.

An early congrats Greg, I've been following your saga and happy that you should be getting your car soon. If I remember well, you got the Load Sill Protector? If so, would you mind posting pictures of it against your polar white car? It's one of the only things I didn't get in my build (due late August/September) so wondering if I should add it before it's too late.

Oh, and does anyone have good pictures of the roof spoiler? I did order it but not really sure how it impacts the overall appearance (online configurator pics aren't great).

Thanks!
Mark

it actually got missed, but I ordered it as a part - $195 vs $150 as an order option. Will post pics.

The load sill protector can be installed onto the suv at any time. As Greg said it’s cheaper to order it vs purchase it as an accessory.
