Ron.s over in the main thread already has a Polar White with the D26 load sill protector - you an ask him.

That's the only photo (which is also in the DOG) I have seen of it anywhere. Cleaning the ducts that run though it was a concern of mine. Here I lightened up a bit:

I have the spoiler on current cars (2018 Gle 450, and 2018 GLS) and like the looks of it, so have ordered on both cars to come. They aren't hard to clean at all.

Your current ones are the same basic design with the ducts?

You know, honestly I'd have to go look to see if they're different. I had just asked my husband if they were hard to clean after seeing the post, and he said no. Now I will have to go look.

Delay

Well, SA called today and said my status has changed to estimated production date June 5. This is on an April 1st decade build. They way things are going and what some have said about June production, I'm not hopeful. This is getting old and I don't have the most patience. Still leaving my deposit, but going back car shopping this weekend.

Greg - my SA said he did a nationwide search for GLE's that have finished production with E-ABC. He said the only one in the country he could find was in Oregon, so I suppose that's you. Congrats, you're a lucky and rare bird. What you say about the E-ABC will probably have a large impact on my decision to stay in it or bolt. Bummed; I was really looking forward to this damned thing.

Delay

Skizz,

Looks like I am the same boat as you. I ordered my 450 on January 29 and at that time I had an estimated prod window of 1st decade of April. That didn't happen so I looked at my order on NetStar two weeks ago and it showed status B3 with an estimated prod date of 4/2D/2019. I checked last Saturday and the estimated production date was changed to 6/3/2019 and the status was still B3.

My configuration includes E-ABC so this was expected. I think that this shows that someone is monitoring these orders and updating some of the fields. I would think that the most recent number has a chance of happening or else they are just putting in bogus data. If our orders slip again it looks like it will be into August or later based on what fabbrisd1 has reported.

Crossing my fingers. I don't think I can wait that long.

Just gave my dealer a big check. Car hit the rail terminal in Portland 4/23 and will be at dealer this weekend. Likely end of Monday before I get it. I will certainly give my impressions of the system next week.

So my GLE is still B4 for 3 weeks and I am getting impatient as I have to return our X5d this week and cannot extend lease any more as we have done a max of 6 moths extension so I contacted MBUSA last week demanding some answer and to get a more specific status on my order and we will see what happens. I dont know who else to contact Greg.. My dealership has no answers and says likely arriving June/July.... Thats way too long of a wait. I may have to order a 2019 BMW X5 which normally takes about 2.5 weeks to build and arrive which is much better. But it would be nice to get some more answer on the GLE build

I wish I knew what, if any of my efforts, had an effect on getting my car moving. I started by calling MBUSA Customer Care, then insisted on getting escalated to an Executive Referral Manager at the Customer Assistance Center, but I think they were pretty worthless. At the same time my dealer contacted West Coast Distribution to see what was going on and I contacted the Vice-President of Customer Relations MBUSA. I also chimed in on MBUSA's Twitter feed when they featured the GLE and posted on the MBCA forum, as well as here, of course.

As you know, it would be better if the issues were acknowledged in some specificity to the customer, like, "We are having a problem getting transfer cases, but we expect to have them by xx/xx/xxxx." Not knowing anything is the worst. I don't know what else to tell you. Have you approached your dealer about a short term lease on one of their used vehicles, perhaps (not sure that is possible)? Or buy out your lease with some guarantee on trade-in value when your GLE arrives?

I ordered in Feb a pretty simple build. Was told I'd have in April. Then in March they revised to May. Then early April it went to August with a warning it could be early or late fall. I promptly canceled and started searching around for a existing car. Found one 60 miles from here and bought it two weeks ago. It was the first time and probably last I've ever "ordered" a car.

Well, I always special order at the beginning and that is not typical of Mercedes or BMW. This was a particularly messed up production start, as you can tell by the posts. When I ordered my '12 ML I had to wait for a couple options to become available, but it wasn't like this where they pull options after you order or kick you order down the road.

So I got my case escalated to Mercedes customer service executive whom called me today and spoke to me about the delays and acknowledged that its frustrating that no one is giving definite answers. He has placed some calls into the factory to get more specifics on my order and will get back to me by tomorrow. Fingers crossed..

They couldn't tell me much, but maybe the factory is sharing more information now. Good luck!

Did they give you a delivery date?

I ordered mine three weeks ago and I'm supposed to receive it mid September (taking into account a transatlantic ship transport, a detour via Germany and then a shipment to the UK)

Well, they estimate it to be around September, to be honest.

They shows me a few orders placed in February with estimated build day for early August, for delivery in September. So dealership is expecting end of August build day for September delivery.

But things could change.

They are checking to see if they can find an unlocked build (not yet purchased) to see if they can put config that existing build and customize it to my specification/requirements.

Today I reach out to my dealer again, and apparently my sales move to another brand. I was pass on to another sales. They still have no idea what’s going on or when will the car be build. So pretty much after a month of this delay issue MB still not back on track I guess.

One the one hand I don't get why people stress out so much over when a car will be built which is something you have no control over, but that was before this when ordering a new Mercedes (or BMW) was a 2-3 month wait at the most, but this is ridiculous. Mercedes can't even tell you about when the car will be built? I don't see why in the world a car ordered in April can't be delivered until September. Mercedes taking on the chin with the new GLE as sales are way down last month because of this so called "slow ramp up" which is code for we just don't have it together and bit off more than we can chew by launching the GLE worldwide at the same time. Yikes. What a mess. I feel for you guys.

I order back 2018/dec/07 and never bother my dealer till late Feb. And then told me it’s new car have to wait, from there on it’s like a black hole. Today they finally admitted due to some option it will be delay until further notice. I just hung up try not to response when I am mad.

So they can’t even find me 4 E-abc strut for the last 4 months ? Or whatever is missing ? Iets see what else can happen.

Tery... You are lucky. I ordered mine with E-ABC on Nov 5, 2018; they completely took it off the order. They decided to build it without any suspension upgrades. AND still no ETA in site.

I have a Vin number, but no idea where the car is or and when it will land in Mississauga.

I ordered a car in Jan, got notice that MBUX wouldn't be on it, let someone else have that order
Placed order again, got notice that multicontour seats, ventilated/heat, intelligent lights wouldn't be on there, let someone else have that order
Have placed order again, we will see how it goes this time.
