GLE 350 Cabin Noise
For those of you that have the new 2020 GLE 350 engines just how much engine noise do you hear in the cabin? Also, is the 350 engine sufficient enough for the 4696 lb. GLE 350? Thanks!

I'd say it's "adequate", but really depends what you're used to driving. My wife currently has an ML 350 Bluetec (I drive an S5) and with those for comparison, we both ruled out the 350 in the first couple minutes of the test drive...have a 450 on order.

For me, it is inadequate.
The noise is ok when cruising.
But the engine felt anemic in such a heavy car, you really have to step on the gas to get any progress - and when you do that, the engine is noisy. And you have to step on the gas a lot in the GLE350....

I currently have a Kia Optima SXT with the same specs and I was concerned that the 350 will be too heavy for the 4 cyl.
Test drove both and my gut feeling was correct - the 350 is definitely underpowered, especially off the start.

But it will get you around town and sport mode will help if you need a little more.
The 450 is a different story, great engine.
