Production Issues

As the current owner of a GLE 350 4Matic, ML 350 and C300 4Matic, i have been inquiring to order a new GLE 450. Even gave them the build from MBUSA. Being told there are production issues and not taking orders. There seems to be very little if any inventory where i am at, at this point.

Any info out there?

You put in the order today and they’ve already given you a date or is that just estimated? My dealer is quoting me 60-90 days but from what others here are posting, it might be delayed even longer than that.

The estimated delivery is August. We ordered two that ended up without some things we wanted and they got redlined (in production) before they could be corrected. So the next slots were given to us, and I guess someone else will buy these ( to arrive in June). I think it may have something to do with how many allotments each dealer has, and they don't all get the same number.

A gaggle of MB's
Interesting question on GLE450's - so I took a look...

... for GLE450's availability June forward is very/very tight .... June thru 1st Decade August like 100 for the entire Southern 13 states - which is like tight...

There are open/changeable order for June 3rd decade - then availability is "kindof" blocked out for July (due to factory holiday and production line updates) next availability is 1st Decade August...

If you plan to order .. best to catch a dealer with a June 3rd decade slot... that will be like a about 5 weeks earlier delivery than 1st Decade August build.

Personally - I have not seen a "Red Lined" factory GLE order yet - meaning the GLE's that have delivered have been delivered with ALL they were confirmed to have although "intact" the # is still small/behind schedule.

My dealer said he had done the orders for us, was not allowed to put in everything, but had hoped to get them added as things opened up. Both cars were missing the ventilated seats and intelligent lights, and there was never an opening to put them in. So, we go to August delivery, and put everything but the kitchen sink on them today. I'm just amazed that the leather choices and trims are not available. Going to August meant I can't have the black/grey interior. But, don't want to wait till Dec. for that, and jan for the trims.
