The Auto feature in my previous 2015 CLS and any other car I’ve owned regulated the temperature (to whatever I set it to) AND also controlled the fan speed to get the temperature to what it was set too.
My new GLE doesn’t seem to change the fan speed when it’s set to auto. I looked it up in the Manual (page 153) and found the info in the attached screenshot. Does this mean that I have to adjust the fan speed to lower when it gets cold in the car? Doesn’t that mean it’s not “auto”?
Maybe it means that by default, the fan speed will adjust automatically, however, you may wish to increase/decrease the fan speed if you wish, much in the same way in my 2016, I keep my climate control to Auto, but I adjust the vents to blow from the panel and the windshield, and not the feet.
