Last week the wireless charger pad start making noise after charging the iPhone for some time. The noise sounds like from transformer. I can feel vibration behind the rubber pad of the wireless charger.

After some google search this seems a known issue on some Qi charging pad. But I'm not sure if it's common in mercedes. Does anyone have experience on this in the GLE or E class?

Did you ever figure out what the issue was? Mine just started doing this too - 2021 GLS580

 

Found out the high pitched buzzing (posted vid) was coming from a small cooling fan behind the wireless charger. It kicks in when needed ... and unfortunately nothing can be done to get rid of that sound since it's functioning as designed. Tried putting some sound insulation material around the area but still difficult to ignore.

 

Has anyone ever experienced this noise in the charging pad? This is the 2nd time I’m taking it back to the dealer because of course it doesn’t do it when it’s there!
