Is there a way to disable the annoying MBUX voice assistant?

Is there a way to disable the annoying MBUX voice assistant?
Or mute it...or stop it from jumping in anytime someone in the car even slightly says the word Mercedes?

If there is (doubtful) the Dealer will have to do it. I want to disable ALA but not optimistic. Found a way to do it permanently in$Home;settings;Assistance; ALKA-off. I wish someone had a tool like OBD11 for programming Audi switches like that on or off.

I wasn’t done but hit post without thinking. After about 5 weeks we find the Mercedes Assistant to be more useful than not. After a few weeks we just haven’t said the M word much. When the car was new it came up a lot more. The function is very nice in that it eliminates taking your eyes off to do numerous things by voice. Setting Navigation destination works better than most except maybe Google Assistant & Siri. It will continue to get better as time goes on. My wife uses it a lot since it’s easier at times than looking through the menu. Give it some time you might change your mind.
