Wheel mounting pin (wheel hanger)
A few of us do some of our own mechanical work. Changing wheels is an easy one, but a ~50 lb. wheel is not so easy to handle. Almost 3 months ago I started communication with the owner of a company, ReverseLogic, that makes a nice wheel mounting pin (wheel hanger, wheel mounting guide tool) to see if they could make one the the new M15x1.25 spec. Finally the result is in; here are some prototypes they sent me. They work really well; the rounded, tapered end makes fitting the wheel easy. Very nicely made of stainless steel. I only needed to finger tighten them and they were stable. You can use just one, but two or three is better.
Anyhow, they will start production soon and I will let everyone know when they are orderable.

They were waiting for a tool part to do a full production run, which they should do in the next couple weeks. I will let everyone know when they are available.

Wheel spacers
I'm going to use 12 mm spacers in the rear to adapt my W166 wheels for Winters. I found these on Amazon and received them today. Look seem to be really good quality, hubcentric and with lightening holes, and very well-priced:

As a side note, the ReverseLogic owner says, "One of our next projects is a 14x1.5 x 200mm female threaded tool for the new C8 Corvette. We will use the same 12mm hex chuck that we used for the M15 tool on the M14 female threaded tool. You would think that female threaded tools would have no market. But, they actually outsell the male threaded tools since there is no competition in a market place that does not make sense to other vendors. And there are hundreds of competitors for male threaded tools."

Hello Everyone,
Question: with the '20 GLE-350 using the stock 9x20 (black, 5-double-spoke wheels) & M15x1.25 wheel bolts, would anyone happen to know just how much of the bolt pokes out past the wheel itself?
The reason I ask: I am looking for some winter rims (likely some from Replika.ca), and they are uncertain as to whether the OE bolt is long enough to properly attach.
Thanks in advance (and sorry if this was already asked elsewhere!).

Wheel fitment
Also, see my post #19 earlier on offsets. Mercedes has made things difficult by using different offsets front & rear (57 & 44 on the AMG 20s), which is very unusual for non-staggered widths. Many people are going to rotate and end up with the wrong wheel placement. Spacers may be required with aftermarket wheels, or in my case, adapting W166 wheels. So far extended length M15x1.25 ball seat lug bolts are not available as a stock item, AFAIK.

Hi Greg,
I really cannot thank you enough for all your great help and information - you are a credit to this forum!
With regard to my (someday-arriving) '20 GLE-350; I ordered the 'Night Package' - in Canada this adds the AMG body styling, black exterior accents, sport brake system and 20" AMG 5-twin spoke aero wheels (bicolour) - the 57 front/44 rear 9x20 wheels.
I may have potentially found a set of 4x MB OE take-offs (PN: A1674013300 - same as the 44 rears), and using willtheyfit.com, I think (if I am reading things correctly?) an ET44 wheel on the front would actually move the wheel 13mm further away from the suspension than the stock ET57 wheel - a 13mm "poke":
(Source: willtheyfit.com)
To this, I don't have the E-ABC, and so my will GLE already sit a bit higher - I do not believe fender rub would be an issue...?
May I invite you (and any other forum members) to weigh on this with your thoughts on whether this might be an acceptable compromise for a set of winter rims?
Cheers & thanks in advance!

The other issue is whether the wheels will accept the M15 lug bolts. In my post #41 in this thread I show how I drilled out the lug holes in my W166 wheels.

Hi Everyone,
Thrilled to share I found a nice set of MB 5-twin spoke take-offs - they should arrive to me in a week or so. (MB PN: A 167 4013 300)
Question: would anyone happen to know what the size of the center cap might be? (75mm?)
Cheers!
