Water damage on my wife's 450
Posting to see if anyone has this problem.
My wife was driving her GLE locally and went over a speed bump. The MBUX screen went blank. She thought nothing of it but had to pull over turn the car off and then turn the car on to get it to restart. Also since then Apple CarPlay has been very glitchy.
I took the car to the dealer who said that the car had registered some communication fault but no specific error. They thought that there might been a loose connection and harnessing. They pulled up the carpet on the passenger side and noticed the padding underneath was wet. After doing more investigation they noticed a rubber hose that connected the air conditioning unit was loose and disconnected. Apparently this tube drains the “condensation” From the air conditioning unit. This condensation had been draining onto the electronics underneath and causing a short.
Got a call today from the service advisor who said they’re ordering about 17 different electronic parts to replace that were either malfunctioning or wet. This included a body control unit (which I had to Google) that seems to be a brain of sorts. Some of these parts are also apparently on backorder.
Has anyone experienced the same scenario? Apparently the dealer talk to MB USA and there had been other reports of something similar around the country.

Pre-TSB Alert - AirCon Drain Hoses Need To Be Checked
Dealer Service Dept's have received a pre-TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) Alert from Engineering to check AirCon Drain's on 2020 GLE's - especially Pasenger Side - as there have been reports of "kinked" aircon drain hoses that have caused water backup and some electrical harness issues from that.
Dealer's are instructed to inspect each 2020 GLE in dealer inventory - and each incoming new GLE until further notice.
Frankly there will be "some" dealer's that will only check incoming new - as a pre-TSB there is no Mercedes labor compensation yet allowed in the system for this pre-TSB check - until a formal TSB is issued - a pre-TSB does not necessarily mean a TSB will be issued later.
