2020 GLE 350 and 450 recall
https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news...cs-072919.html
Because I have heard nothing regarding the recall in the UK I phoned customer services. I was told that recalls were market specific and would be dependant on where the car was built. I told them that as it was air conditioning and would be applicable to all markets as all GLE'S were built in the US. They tried to deny this and only when I read the Korean information out as to how it could cause a fire did they say they would check my car.
Lo and behold there is a recall for UK cars and she is contacting my dealer to arrange for the check to be carried out.
Forums are a mine of information and are hassle to manufacturers, sometimes we seem to know more than them.

I just returned from a long trip and have now had just about every system go wacky including Nav,, Mercedes Assistant and Distronic this trip. I was almost rear ended by a Semi when Distronic slammed on my brakes for no discernible reason, With the package that includes Distronic you no longer have Cruise Control so it’s Distronic or nothing. Besides the brake incident my lane change quit working and on one occasion it reset my speed from 80 to 60 but just started coasting.
I was given a 350 for a loaner with the same interior but less bling. Key Fobs work and it has decent acceleration. It’s a lot nicer car than I expected.

My recall posted above is listed as - 6127 Perform Update of Radar Control Unit. Campaign #2019080007.
There is a noticeable improvement with both Distronic and Lane Keep. Now I get a vibration when approaching a lane marker instead of harsh braking. Distronic is working again but I won’t get a good test for two weeks when I go on a road trip.
Other updates were for “blank screen”; “key fob” software update and Interior Assistant Software was updated on line G.
I don’t recall any specific DAP update but there were some others that were done but not listed on my Service Invoice. Going from Memory I think there were 6 or 7 total updates so 1 or 2 more than listed. They also disconnected the battery-probably to clear any built up software conflicts. The Service Manager promised to call me as new updates show in his system. Rumor is that an update to allow Lane Keep to stay off is being considered.
Edit: Since I have a March build my updates might have been included with those units built later.

The recall you posted says it is for vehicles with the driver assistance package which mine has, the radar control unit is part of that.. I have been lucky as as far as I am aware the only time the car brakes is if you cross a continuous white as detailed in the handbook.
