Dynamic Select

I'm into my first week of owning a 450 AMG Line, loving it! I have the off road pack, and I noticed that there's no 'slippery' mode in the dynamic select. What setting woud I use in the snow and ice? The dealers didn't have a clue

In theory, 4MATIC & the ESP should automatically adjust as needed in any mode. There is no specialized "snow" or "mud" mode. In some cases, like deep snow, sand or gravel or when using chains, you might need to turn off ESP to allow the wheels to spin a bit.

What I liked about the old Snow mode was that it reduced throttle response, helping to avoid spinning your wheels in the snow when taking off at a green light for example. It slowed things down as a security measure, in which the regular mode would barrel down the road too easily, Yes, you must adjust your driving accordingly, but still, I liked the ability to switch driving modes quickly. Perhaps it is a patch they can upload?

Slippery mode is gone! Interesting - didn't notice - would have in the next 3 months or so.
Slippery mode + snow tires made my 2012 and 2016 gle snowmobiles - will be interesting to see how the new tech manages our Canadian winters

I'm thinking perhaps going into Eco Mode might aid in slowing throttle response. Twitchy throttles are not good in snowy conditions.
As you said bob01, we will find out for certain in 2-3 months' time.

I'm wondering how the Road Surface Scan with E-ABC will work on snow covered roads. Guess I'll find out at some point.

That is the biggest challenge facing autonomous driving. Yes it works splendidly in Arizona, where there is no precipitation (wet or fluffy), but throw in the nasty stuff and even the best systems give up.
