Panoramic sunroof
Hey guys, just wanted to check if my sunroof was normal - how far open does the panoramic sunroof on the GLE (v167) open when you are opening it to let air in? I was stopped at the lights today and finally looked up and realised mine only opens about half way when it is fully opened. It was dark at night so I couldn't see if something was stuck or blocking it and forgot about this until just now. Is this normal?

Yep, 14 1/2" from front headliner on mine. Unlike a regular sunroof, which can slide into a roof cavity, because it's all glass it has to slide over the top, which limits the opening. Was same on the W166.

Downside on a bigger opening is more buffeting. This one seems open enough for the desired effect, IMO.

Thanks everyone for confirming. I don't remember it being so obvious on my previous car which had a panoramic sunroof too (w205) but maybe I just never looked up enough!

The pano roof opening looks small but it might be a trick of the eyes considering just how much glass there is in all.
