Run Flats

Just checking to see if run flats are an option on the 2020 GLE350 with a 20" wheel? If not, is a full size spare an option instead on the donut?

Run flats are standard if you get the 3rd row option on 19s & 20s, but are not orderable, AFAIK, if you don't get that. A full size spare is not an option since there is not room to store it. The space saver spare is pretty good size - T155/80R19 on mine.

Ok. Thanks for the info. Is the space saver spare the standard spare it comes with or is that an option?

Not sure Run flats are standard with 3rd row?

If I am reading this correctly, I can add the third row now and not have to get run flats with my RWB-21 wheels. Right?? Every dealer says I have to get run flats with the third row.

This makes me happy and sad. Now I can add the third row but have to add more money to my build.

Correct. 315/40-21 run flats are nonexistent, or nearly so (maybe someone know of some?).

21" tires already have very little sidewall. I can't imagine how harsh the ride would be with 21" run-flats.

The 21s have the same sidewall as 20s on the W166 and really feel quite plush with Airmatic or E-ABC. You can get 23s on the GLS.
