Question Theme and Profiles

Trying to get a handle at the differences between Profile and Themes in the GLE. Specifically, I have created a Theme and would like that to become active as the default when I start the car. Can I tie that theme to my Profile, so that when my profile is active, it selects the Theme i want?

Thanks in advance for any help or pointers.

Yes, that is the correct way to go about it.

Thanks!

My problem is that I just don't see an option when creating the Profile to add the current Theme. Does saving the Profile automatically pick up the current Theme that is active?

Yes, my wife has the Classic gauges saved to her profile, while i have the Sport gauges. Switching profiles automatically switches the gauge style in the cluster as well as seating position.

Any luck saving your photo to your profile? I have tried numerous times with no success - even with "help" from Mercedes Me people.

Switching Profiles is working for me (guages, seating positions, etc), but the "Theme" does not appear to be saved with the Profile.

For example, I have a theme that turns off Auto Stop...when that Theme is active it works. But if I haven't selected that Theme it is set to the default of On.

I would love to be able to select that Theme as DEFAULT or have it set with my profile, but just don't see how to do it.

I don't believe you can "save" the auto-start feature to the Off position. I'm fairly certain you have to press the button each time as it is to promote aggregate fuel efficiency for the fleet's regulatory approval..

You can as a setting in the Theme, but not as a setting in a Profile. So if we can find a way of associating the theme to the profile, then you won't have to push that button each time.

i don't see a way of saving a picture to my profile either. It works on the online profile, but I can't find an option in the car.

Out of curiosity, what steps did Mercedes ME people say to take?

I was able to change it here, and it eventually synced with the vehicle (it's under "My Data"):

Thanks. This worked for me and was able to create and upload a linked profile with my picture to the car.

it's a bit confusing, though. I had already created a profile in the car which does appear on this web profile editor, however, I could not find a way to "Link" it to the car to push down a profile image or even edit the settings on the website for it.

I had to create a new profile on the site, attach my photo to it and it somehow became ME linked to the car. Next time I got into the car, it appeared as a Me linked profile and displayed my picture. Unfortunately, none of my settings under the previous profile carried over (especially radio presets), so will need to re-establish them. I don't see a way of linking the first car profile that I had created earlier to the online portal to be able to attach a photo.
