I think you meant $200, $1,100 & $3,200? If 90% less brake dust is the primary benefit, it depends on what that's worth to you.

No, he's stating rotor replacement cost. And as I posted above, the tungsten carbide option is $3,490 on the Cayenne (standard on Turbo).

I watched on closed caption so maybe a translation error. But $200 for the standard kit of pads, rotors and bolts is not correct. Can’t do that on one axel so.....

Yes, correct. The guy in the video asked for a quotation from a Porsche dealer (starts at minute 9:00)

Yessir, finally have a ceramic solution for the front, and possibly your rear depending on your rear rotors. Had these on mine for a couple of months and I can finally rest on the wheel detailing every weekend.

I followed the link but it says that ceramic pads are not available. Am I (probably) missing something?

They were listed and available a couple days ago, now it says not available. Either they sold out or the original listing was a mistake.

Is there a trade-off for Less Dust, in brake performance and rotor wear? There usually is.

I have used ceramic pads on several cars, including Mercedes’, and I can honestly say I never noticed any difference in performance or rotor wear. I’m sure there are some high performance applications that wouldn’t suit them, however.

What I find frustrating is that my 2019 X5 5.0i has 38,000 miles on its original brakes and there are absolutely no brake dust issues. My wife’s GLE will get ceramic pads as soon as I can find some.

Hmmm...all my BMWs (currently have M4) have brake dust issue about the same as my Mercedes.

I had a 2008 550 and it was terrible. This is my second X5, the first being a 2015, and neither one has and had any noticeable brake dust. I was as surprised as you. I also have a 2016 SL550 and it is also terrible. It’s getting new rotors and ceramic pads tomorrow.

I am confused. What is an ‘AMG Exterior Package?’ - I have heard of the AMG Night Exterior Package but that’s it and it does not include larger front brakes. I would love to know if there is something I am missing because my GLE is loaded.

So I am kind of new here, but am in need of brakes for our GLE 350. I hate the dust created by the OEM parts, and I see that these are available now from the link. Are they still good in your opinion? Dealer pricing on replacement set of brakes is astounding. But, I had rather do it myself and put a better or at least a lower dusting pad on the vehicle.

From my search for parts, it looks like no one makes a rotor for these vehicle yet, unless I am not searching correctly. If someone knows of a rotor besides the OEM, please let me know. I have gone to Zimmermann, Powerstop, FCP Euro Parts, and no luck just yet.

Thanks in advance.

I have ordered a set of MB OEM pads and also the brake performance pads. I'll install what actually fits. I am surprised that no manufacture has started producing components for this car. I'll update as soon as I can

Well, I finally got the pads and rotors to install this past weekend. So the Brake Performance pads are an exact replica of the MB OEM pads. When I gave Brake Performance the part number for the OEM, they stated that they did not have a cross reference for them. However, their site showed them to be the ones. I am attaching a picture of the old, OEM and BP pads. The OEM is the top pad, the old is on the right and the new BP are the two at the bottom.

Let us know how they perform.

So far, braking performance seems the same or better than the OEM pads. Dust is what I am looking to improve. I hate the way the OEM dusts the wheels. I will see what they look like Saturday morning wash day.

Yes, I installed myself. Used OEM rotors and these pads.was not too difficult, breaking the seal of the pads from the caliper on the old ones was holding me up. Then the small clips that hold the pads in the sliders are somewhat cumbersome. Just had to work it in.
