GLE 300D Questions
Hi Everyone,
Newbie here from Australia who recently purchased a 2020 GLE 300d, with the following packs added

- AMG Sorts package
- Vision package
- Comfort package
- It's not that quiet atleast the 300d isn't,,,is that normal or i just had too much expectations?
- Since the past two drives , roughly around 10kms back and forth, when i have parked the car, i cam smell burning smell...wasn't happening before. and also the fan doesn't turn off..even when the car is locked, I can hear the fan running for a good 2-3 minutes.and then it goes of..is that normal as it hasn't happened in the past ???

I’m in Oz and also have the 300d - great car.
Mine is pretty quiet inside - a lot quieter than my old Audi Q7, not as quiet as my Tesla. What kind of noise are you hearing?
The burning smell is likely just be the exhaust settling in. Give it a few good drives and see if it goes away. If it doesn’t, it could be a slight leak of coolant or something similar. Call service if it doesn’t stop.
As for the fan running after short drives - this is normal for diesel cars as it deals with the diesel particulate filter. Some cars can run the fan for up to 15 minutes, although my 300d has only done it for 3-5mins so far. If it’s still going after 20mins I’d suggest chatting with service for a check.

Its all good now..i just got panicked i think...
I have other issues though ...the passenger seat roller blind got loose and makes a noise when started...so goin in tomorrow for service/warranty repair
Also noticed there is no spare tyre at all..there is some sort of a kit...
and as i said before..tis not as quiet as they promised...
What about you...any issues you having?

Ive got a few issues that I’ll book into service for. My air conditioner wants to blow hot air even though the cabin is set to 20°C. According to forums here could be the overhead sensors in the downlights.
Also I don’t have the AMG, so my trim around the wheel arches is the black plastic. One of the clips isn’t holding and pops out - want to get that resolved too.
