19" tires undersized
255/50-19 - 29.1"
275/50-20 - 30.8 - 31.1"
275/45-21 - 30.7"
315/40-21 - 30.9"
For the 19s a 255/55-19 (30.0") or even a 255/60-19 (31.1") would be better. Anyone with 19s should up the size when replacing the tires. The stock ones look really puny.

I have posted about this many times in various threads. Yes, it is odd and seem illogical. Here is an OD comparison:
255/50-19 - 29.1"
275/50-20 - 30.8 - 31.1"

Went and looked, build date on the black label in the drivers door jam is 04/19

Tires and speedometer error
I don't have a definite answer on whether the speedo in each vehicle is individually adjusted for the tires it is supplied with; that may be the case. Speedometers are never entirely accurate anyhow based on temperature and other factors.
In Europe it is illegal for speedometers to read low, so most come from the factory reading high; my M4 is 2 mph high at most speeds. I have not found that to be the case with the GLE. The difference between the stock 19s and the next size up (255/55) is only just over 3%, so not huge.
