I've heard a lot of good things about the ceramic coat process but know little about it. I inquired with a local shop and received the following reply:
We use Opti-Coat Pro Plus for our ceramic coating if you want to google it. We feel it's the best out there and only want to offer the best. It is a permanent bond to your clear coat. It's two layers hand applied to every surface of your car except the front windshield. Comes with a 7 year warranty from the company and also goes on your car fax now. To cover the 350 in it would run $1495.
Can anyone give me an opinion on this price? Also if that's the going rate, is this process that good to be worth $1500?

That’s cheap if they are going to do a paint correction also before they install it. If they do not do the paint correction then it is expensive and I wouldn’t want the ceramic coating applied. Also, there are several brands out now of ceramic coatings. Some are better than others. Do your research on the brands too.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Frankly - cheap - with Color Correction (full body polish) in my area it's about $2400

Thanks gentlemen. I haven't decided yet if I really need this...seems like a great idea but I tend to keep cars for just a few years.

Ceramic is amazing, I posted about it before. I would always do it, the dirt just slides right off.
