Default / Turn On Stereo Volume?

Just brought home a new 2020 GLE 350, AMG Exterior Package. Thrilled with it so far.

If we have the volume at it lowest audible setting (all the way down, then one click up) when turning off the vehicle, it comes on much louder, 3 clicks up.

Not a big deal, but with the interior being so quiet, it's a bit alarming when starting the vehicle and an aggressive song is playing.

Any way to change the default / turn on volume? I've looked everywhere and can't find it.

Our GLE does that too, exactly as described. It must be a “feature”.

Same here, I wish it would be lower. Another thing that really annoys me in regards to the volume is that if you are using Google Maps via Car Play, and are listening to let's say a loud station on Tune In via MBUX, following spoken directions the volume level goes right back up rather than gradually. So if you had the music on a loud volume, you will get a quiet Google Maps instruction and then a blast of music at a completely different volume level...

Ah. Lol. Gotcha. Thought there was a solution buried in the post that I couldn't pluck out. They used to have something simpler in the old comand that simply turned it off.
Maybe there is a bug in mine and the "Auto Adjustment" isn't working. When someone has a chance, can you see if toggling yours on/off disables it?
thanks ahead for your time.

I have exactly the same issue. Actually, I got this issue after the car being serviced two weeks ago. I noticed that the MBUX version didn't change, so I suspect that they updated the audio system software which introduced the issue. Another point is that before the service, I needed to adjust equalizer due to lack of bass. After the service, I felt the bass became much stronger even though the bass was set to 0, so there must be something changed about the audio system software.

You can simply roll the volume control knob up or down, while any source is playing, and it will stay there for the next time it appears.

For instance if you're in navigation and the instructions are a little too low, when you hear the instruction, just adjust the volume. Same with Android auto or Google maps or Pandora or anything.
That's the easiest way.
Or, you could drill down through the menus (I think) and adjust each source individually, but fine-tuning it is still easier with the volume knob while you're hearing that source.

Try it with Hey Mercedes - How may I help you? Just set the volume while she's speaking, and the next time she'll be right where you left her.
