Looking for tips on phone mounts/holders and where to put it?
Appreciate pics of the solution you went with.
Never had a mount in previous cars as the media-interface cable was hidden in the box between the seats. In the GLE they placed that connection in the 'ashtray' part of the console...

I've always used Pro-Clip USA holders. They are tailored specific to your car and I know they have holders for the 2020 GLE now. It clips onto one of the four vents in the front dash. They're more expensive than the holders you find on Amazon but their quality is very nice. My last one on my W212 has lasted me 8 years now and still going.

Fits perfectly to the vent withou blocking it.
Alibaba sells, a great solution that perfectly fits between the vents with no modifications required, the quality lacks but overall a good customized solution specifically for the GLE vents.

Honestly I would prefer the pro-clip over the one from alibaba, I have it for my GLS (same as the GLE) and it is a lot more lower profile than the alibaba one. You just slip it in to one of the vents and you're good to go and these things last forever.
But then yes, this will block one of the vents so there's that downside.

it does fit quite nicely and securely to the car vents, the actual fit between the car base and phone base is not the best as it does move around and can cause noise on bad roads.
