Help with Trackpad

Sorry if I sound like I’m complaining but I’ve gotten some really good advice and tips from you guys.

I’m having a problem with the trackpad. Let me say I’ve changed the settings regarding slow, Med, and fast.

first off- every time I grab my cup from holder it always changes the radio station. I’m obviously unwittingly touching the pad.

also, I must be doing something wrong when it comes to changing the radio station via the pad. Why is it such a pain in the *** to switch/find a radio station? I have favorites stored but still a pain.

honestly I just think this pad is not good and the wheel was probably MUCH better.

Your supposed to switch stations by swiping the top middle of the pad where the arrows are.

The design of the center console is poor in general. If you have anything in the cupholder it makes it really hard to get your phone in and out of the wireless charging pad. And the pad is just barely big enough for plus sized phones. Then on top of that the plug for carplay/android auto is right next to it which leaves no place to keep your phone when its plugged in.

The pad should be dispatched and replaced by dial like on BMW'S

I wouldn't mind that. The only advantage of the pad I can think of is that you can write on it. But there are plenty of other ways to enter info so I think we can do without that.

In fact I would like more dials in general. There is a reason why cars have them. They kept the volume dial which is good. The AC temp should also be a dial. Its a lot quicker to turn a dial then press a button for each degree. Sadly in a few years we aren't going to have any physical AC controls anymore...

The sad part is that you can actually "write" on the dial with BMW's new iDrive 7 system.

Pretty sure you can write on the ‘20 GLE trackpad as well. I never use it because I’m left handed.

My trackpad occasionally goes rogue and stuff starts flying across the screen when I'm not touching it. I with there was an option to just disable it...very poorly executed idea.

One thing to try is turn off "Touchpad tap" under control settings. This makes it require a hard click to select something rather than just a touch.

While we're on the subject I just realized that there are only 8 buttons on the main screen. They should show these all on the screen at the same time rather than having to slowly scroll through them.

I’m gonna try to **** off the tap.
a cool feature on the Jaguar system lets you recreate a custom home screen and resize all the icons. I was able to make screen with everything on one screen
