things you love and hate between the new and old generation MLs
To previous X166 owners who upgraded to V167 what are the things you missed on the previous generation and what do you like the most? Those who had the 3.5l petrol engine before is the new electrified 3.0l engine better in terms of fuel efficiency or smoothness? I already know the newer engine will be more expensive to fix later-on because of the mild hybrid design but that is what most new things are anyway.

Coming from a '12 ML350 to the GLE450, I think almost everything is better on the new one. My main dislike is that the second row seats no longer fold flat. I believe this was done for optional 3rd row access and for a place to put the 48V battery. The 48V system is nice in many ways. The tech is almost overboard in some cases, but that seems to be the norm these days.

Gas mileage
New one is better. It's my wife's daily driver so I don't have in depth data, but my sense is it's a couple mpg better. About 20 mixed around urban/suburban driving and 23+ on highway (have seen as high as 28 on one 250-mile leg in ECO mode taking it very easy).
