Auto Start

I just got a notification email that my car was successfully started when I didn’t do it.
I went out and check and thankfully it really wasn’t running. I did start my car about 3 hours ago and was notified at that time ( so it’s not just a delayed notification). Anyone else ever experience this?

By any chance after getting the notice did you open the app and check the status of the engine to see if the app showed it as running?

It's most likely a duplicate notification. Unfortunately, the whole Mercedes me connect notification infrastructure has yet to work a 100% reliably. Sometimes you get notifications, other times you don't and sometimes you get the same notification twice or they are delayed. They seem to be constantly working on it. These days, I fairly regularly get the security notifications when I park my car, but don't lock it (I don't lock it in my garage), but sometimes I intermittently don't get the notification and other times its down for days and I don't get notifications at all. I made the same experience with the geofencing notifications. I have a geofence set around the dealership, so that when my car is in for service I get notified when it leaves the dealership and when it comes back. Just a piece of mind so that nobody is taking it for a joyride, but the notifications are rather sporadic and delayed, so it's kinda not useful. Hoping they eventually sort out the remaining issues. It is better than it used to be last year.
