Had an odd thing started happening over last couple of days. Whilst driving the car in direction of my house the sat nav in head up display is coming on with my house as destination. No sat nav directions are showing in main screen just on head up. If I am driving away from house it doesn't activate. Any ideas before I contact dealer next week.
Mine does that....started a few months ago. I call it a “Backtrack function”. If it’s like mine, there is a route line that also shows on the map. I also get the Camera view on intersection turns just like in Nav mode. The system seems to assume that you are returning home after going on a short trip to the store, etc. If I ignore the return directions 2-3 times it goes away unless I make another stop & then it resumes the Backtrack. It doesn’t seem to do it unless my Map screen is displayed when I leave Home. Live Traffic is involved too since the return route seems to vary with time of day, traffic conditions. IMO it’s a nice touch but seldom helpful to me.
There is a feature in MBUX navigation call "Commuter Router" which automatically activate navigation if it detected you are on the way to work/home. It doesn't turn on the full navigation mode, just partial and without voice guidance.
