AC Vent - knob control

AC Vent - knob control
Just wanted to check if the small A/C vent right next to driver door can be controlled to stop the flow of the air. I can see the knob on that vent but no matter which direction I turn that, the flow of the air doesn't change. I can control that on the small 4 vents in the middle.

Can anyone please check this for me. Don’t want to take it to dealer if this is how it should work. I am talking about the small vent which is to the left of the dash. For me the vent is not closing when I turn the knob.
