2021 GLE 450 gas mileage
The 2021 GLE 450 lists the MPG as 21 city / 26 Highway. That is better then the 2020's, better then the less powered 350, and better then most of the competition.
What have GLE owners actually experienced. If you reply, please mention your model and year.
Thanks!

I have been very impressed by the fuel economy of my 2020 GLE450. My daily commute is about 30-35 minutes, a mix of city and highway driving and I'm seeing 26-27 MPG. My dealer tells me there has been no mechanical changes to the 2021, Mercedes just updated the fuel economy numbers based on the real world feedback they received.

LOL, funny you say that... When I first got the car, coming from my ML350 diesel, I was somewhat concerned about the fuel economy so I took it very easy, I had the fuel economy widget in my HUD and always drove in ECO mode. Once I saw what the car is capable of and the great efficiency of the new MB gas engines, I've gone back to my old spirited driving habits, no longer paying any attention to fuel economy. I just checked today and with spirited driving, mix of highway and city, I've averaged 19MPG for the past 400 miles. I was getting 26-27 MPG before so the spirited driving does have an impact but the smile on my face is well worth it!

Probably not. We are finding that lower profile tires get worse fuel economy than higher ones.
It's more than wind resistance, and hysteresis of the rubber compounds is a part of it. Performance rubber compounds might contribute to that.
I posted earlier that our 450 got better mileage than a long term 350 loaner, and equivalent to our GLC - both of those with the 2.0 four.
We had come from an ML Bluetec, which got 30+ on the highway (regularly 10mph over), 22-24 in town - and the 450 beats it by 1 or 2 mpg.
Now for the towing mash-up, but not for a few months. First I have to get the 53, then break it in , then tow...
