Outgoing CEO will take a new role leading quality worldwide. Hopefully things will get better for M-B in the quality area. Maybe the Vance experience will prove valuable.

That was in January 2019...since then about May 2019 they also changed the CEO...Ola Källenius (born 11 June 1969) is a Swedish business executive. He is the chairman of the board of management of Daimler AG, and head of Mercedes-Benz. He is the first non-German in both positions.
Some of these changes were more a result of Diesel-gate and huge operating losses. IMO, don’t look for any big changes in quality at any of the manufacturers in the near term. They are shifting resources to Electrification while integrating high Tech systems, high demand for SUV’s and the constant disruptions from COVID along with other natural disasters.
The Quality Control Manager in the Auto Industry might be the worst “job security” position available today.

 

@BACnMercedes Oops, yes you're right. I should have checked for the date, my bad. So two years later, it doesn't seem like the quality needle has moved in a meaningful way for the better, from a consumer point of view.
