Although the article lists the "Discoverer," it's not clear if the MO tire, the"Discoverer SRX LE" is included in the recall. I'd assume so, but it's worth checking.
Also, Goodyear has just announced acquisition of Cooper. Both US companies based in Ohio.

Important issue, but thankfully, at least according to this Consumer Reports article, the Discovery SRX LE is NOT listed as Discovery tires subject to the recall.

This is the second recall for various Discoverer series tires and it may not be the last. However, as noted, the Discoverer SRX LE is not included in this particular recall. Perhaps that will change if more M-B owners experience similar defects described in this thread.
I have only 8800 miles on two Discoverer SRX LE tires (2020 GLS 450) with between 2/32" and 1/32" of usable tread remaining (10.5/32" new). The tires were originally on the rear axles and rotated to the front at 7700 miles during "A" service. Poor traction on wet roads and dangerous in light snow or slush. There are only two reviews for the SRX LE on Tire Rack website, both complaining about very poor tread wear. I tried to add a third, but Tire Rack has never posted. Mercedes-Benz should be ashamed to equip their "S" class SUV with such a poor quality product. I've lodged a complaint with MBUSA customer support and expect a promised phone call from a "Executive Referral Manager".

Best of Luck with MB Customer Service, they are typically very UNRESPONSIVE to customer issues.
I contacted them in reference to these tires, I was told "rather simply", follow up with Cooper !!!
When I suggested that MBUSA allow buyers to pick a tire just like you can pick other options on a factory order (the wheel style as an example) I was ignored.
I also expressed , that all other parts and options on the vehicle are warranted by MBUSA, why are the tires exclude, again - no reply.
Let us knowhow you make out?

FYI, GM and Ford cover tires under their new vehicle limited warranty. The tire manufacturer's warranty may also apply if coverage extends beyond the new vehicle limited warranty.

I received a call from Ana with MBUSA. After a lengthy explanation of the facts, she said I will have to go to a Cooper Tire dealer to submit a claim and Mercedes-Benz would not directly assist me. She offered to call the service manager at my local Mercedes-Benz dealer, though my complaint is not with the dealer, as they have followed corporate M-B policy.
The Cooper Discoverer SRX LE tire (exclusive to the GLS and GLE) is junk. The tread wear rate is atrocious and its SRX siblings have been recalled twice, the latest involving 460,000 tires. I won't replace these tires with the same product as it is clearly sub-standard and does not belong on any Mercedes-Benz vehicle, let alone the flagship SUV. M-B should own up and proactively assist its customers in replacing these tires with a better quality product if they present with premature wear, are recalled or cause poor handling as described in the original post. This is a matter of good will and genuine customer service, although they have provided neither.

2021 GLE with Cooper tires
I just drove home my new GLE 350. I bought the 20 inch tires simply because they looked better. My wife would doesn’t care at all about cars pointed out to me the difference in appearance between the GLE with the 19s and the 20s. My car was prepped, then I noticed that it had the Cooper tires, I was hoping for Michelin or Pirelli. The GLC I traded in had Pirelli and they were good. The dealer who is very accommodating said that he would not be able to switch out the tires. Evidently the Cooper tires are still being used by MB , this is a fresh car just arriving at the dealership 7 days ago. Any feedback regarding 19 vs 20 or any other information would be appreciated, I am new to this site, thanks

I also asked dealer to replace the Coopers on my 2020 450 with 20 inch wheels when we picked up the car in October 2019. No deal. We now have 12,000 miles on them and they are far inferior to Michilins, or Continentals that we had on our old ML. Ride noisy and wear fast. Getting 4 new Michilins installed next week although we still have at least 4/32 left on the Coopers.

I did a lot of checking at the local dealers prior to purchasing my 2020 GLE450 and I saw tons of them with these "Cooper" tires and I wasn't impressed to see these no-name tires on a MB vehicle. I kept bugging my dealer about it and he eventually sent me the below screen shot.... It appears the dealers know which tire is on the car before it arrives so you can stipulate that as part of your deal or at least ask them to check so you know ahead of time. Luckily mine came with Michelins and they have been outstanding.

2020 GLE 450
I am in the same situation as you, I too have a 2020 GLE 450 with 20 inch wheels that came with Cooper Run Flat tires. I would like to know which Michelin's you are planning to buy?
Thanks

Decided on Michilin Primacy Tour A/S tires. Getting installed next friday will post my impressions. My priority, beyond the obvious concern for safety, is quiet and smooth ride and hopefully decent tread life.

I have the Primacy Tour A/S and they are outstanding. I live in Toronto, Canada and they have been great in the snow and the daily crappy driving conditions we encounter here. I had Nokian WRG4 all weather tires on my previous ML350 and I was a little concerned moving to a standard all season tire but I'm happy to say I barely notice a difference. They handle well in dry conditions and also in severe weather conditions.

2020 GLE 450
update, I had the Michelin Primacy Tour A/S tires
installed on my GLE450 3 days ago and so far have noticed a significant improved in the ride! The Cooper tries I replaced had only 6000 miles and some would say "what a waste of $$" , but I wanted my GLE to have the most optimal ride and comfort.....
