I know you mentioned that the modifications are unlikely to cause the issues but try disconnecting both, the dashcam and the subwoofer to see if it helps. In engineering, the rule of thumb is to "roll back" first, even if the relation seems improbable. That's assuming the roll back is easy to perform.

I did remove power to Subwoofer and pulled the fuse to the dashcam in the beginning without result.
I also today went by the audio company just to be sure that they have not touched some circut that could interfer with CANBUS. They told signal is taken from a speaker and remote from a fuse and 12v direct from battery.
I spoke to MB dealer and they would again escalate it to the MB engineers in Germany.

I remembered the pattern when this was happening to mine was either after a wash, or after heavy rain. Dealer didn't bother to file anything unless I was wiling to leave it with them for a week for them to duplicate them in house.
