Hood latch
When I push down on the closed hood of my 2020 GLE there is play in it. It moves about 1/4 inch on the springs on both sides underneath. Anyone know if this is normal? My E 300 closes tight.

Have you tried to re-open and close the hood again? I find that sometimes I kind of have to help the hood go down by slamming (not that hard) it or it won't latch on properly. This goes with my X167 and W212.

It closes and latches normally. But if you push down on it when it's closed it moves about a 1/4 inch than springs back up to closed position. When hood is closed you would think if you pushed down on it, it would feel solid?

2020 GLE 350
Manual says there is a risk of dents if you close the hood all the way manually. It says to close it to about 8 inches and drop it closed. If you can still move it, you should open it again and try to drop it slightly harder. Pages 456 and 457 in my manual.

I believe what you describe is normal. Does the hood flutter at speed, if yes then you have a problem and need to have the dealer adjust the hood.
