Mercedes-Benz Club of America fleet discount program

As we are realizing, inventories for most brands are at very low levels, and dealers are reluctant to give big discounts on their remaining cars, especially ones in the greatest demand.
There are many strategies mentioned, some of which may be successful.

But when the dealin's done, there is another tool that doesn't affect the Dealer's bottom line - the Fleet Discount. And one is offered by the Mercedes Benz Club of America, MBCA.
In the past, this was offered as a Rebate, "at participating dealers," and it was the dealer's option to honor it or not. It was essentially a discount provided as Good Will by the Dealer.
Now, the MBCA offers an actual Fleet Number that the dealer just enters into the M-B System and you get credit towards the purchase. Amount varies by model.
Here's a link to the MBCA program - they still call it a "rebate" but it is now a Fleet number. https://www.mbca.org/rebate-program
You must be a Member for 30 days prior. It used to be a year.
Many dealers also give discounts for parts and/or service to MBCA members. https://www.mbca.org/

I have to confess I don't know the inner workings of an M-B fleet program. There are stipulations, as shown on the MBCA site, and there may be more.

I would also note that in the past you had to be a member for a year before you get the rebate.
I think that the rebates we have used would pay for a century of memberships.

The prior one changed monthly, as to models and amount of rebate.
It's a different program now, as of late last year or so. The previous version let the Dealer decide what programs could be considered as "not combined with," which might include local ads or specials. This one decreases the Dealer's definitions of "combined." I'm not sure why they still call it a "Rebate," because it's now a Fleet program instead of a Rebate - maybe for continuity.
The previous program did require a year's prior membership - this one is 30 days, to entice new membership. In both cases there was a "one a year" stipulation per member.
The new one gives an actual Fleet number, and It's my understanding there is no Dealer participation on this one, but I can't speak to specifics. I know my dealer was happy to see me get this, after the problems with our order.
The office in Colorado Springs is very helpful and knowledgeable about this program - call them! From the website (800) 637-2360 | Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm MT
I just saw this - "Offer expires June 30, 2021" That would be a reason to call - to see if there will be a successor program, or if it's just a new set of incentives on July 1.
Here's the certificate and fine print - https://www.mbca.org/mbusa-incentives
