‘21 GLE450 built w/o ordered options……
I ordered a new GLE450 and it was built the first week of July. Below is the order. I was given the VIN, but have cropped that out. Notice that the Dash Cam and the Augmented Video for Navigation were shown, but then credited back, as they were not included in the build. Not the end of the world, but disappointed. Oh well.
All manufacturers are experiencing these issues, BMW cannot be ordered with Harman Kardon stereo, lots of cars coming in without ordered options hence the used car values shooting up.
Does anyone know what Mercedes plans on doing for those folks who ordered the AR view and Dashcam? It seems to me that these are just software options since the cameras are already in place. Will they install them once the chip shortage is over or are you out of luck?

I would NOT assume these are just software options, they probably need a video processor (or two) for the added work to show the AR and get the camera image ready to be stored for the Dashcam.

So I should expect MB will do nothing for those who's orders were changed. Kind of sucks, I was looking forward to the integrated Dashcam.

Doubt you’ll be able to add them after the fact without paying full price, specially if they are crediting back that option on your order sheet.
