Mercedes outsells BMW in First Quarter?
I would think this would only turn more people off?
Just a point of interest.

BMW is not raising prices because they are behind MB, but rather because of the current chip shortage and rising cost of raw materials. Many other brands have followed suit, such as Tesla, as well as dealers, as seen by the lack of discounts and increase in people paying over sticker for new cars, as well as almost new-priced used cars on the market. Up until recently, BMW has been in a better position than both Audi and Mercedes due to a large stockpile of chips that BMW was able to get their hands on, which allowed for a greater inventory selection with more sales being made while other dealers have been empty, explaining the increase in worldwide sales which has allowed them to pull ahead by 4,500 cars. That being said, that grace period is likely over as now they are feeling the effects of the chip shortage, with decreasing inventory and a lack of parts and features on numerous models.
"Even though production is limited or lower, it's not coming to a halt like some of these other brands," Cohen said. With inventory limited, cars being delivered now were ordered by customers two months ago, he said.
