Navigation Unavailble.

Hi all. I was driving and this popped up. Wasn’t using Nav but tried restarting car and nothing. Mercedes connect sleep lter than me and had to leave a message at 830am 😂 I didn’t want to do a full reset without knowing what that will do.

Looking at thw surrounding terrain, you might have lost satellite sync. You need a lock on at least 3 birds to determine position.

You might want to check if there is a software update for the map or any other software updates.

will try that today. I haven’t been in my car since. MB said to hold the console volume button down until I guess the system does a soft reset.

So it seems my system is fully up to date, but when I got to my car, Navigation was back and running, then after driving for around 45 min, Navigation unavailable popped up again and remains that way. Everything else works. I tried the volume knob in the center console to turn system off but that didn't do anything fo the NAV. Going to my dealer tomorrow morning before my vacation trip with car

Well, it seems to be an issue that MB has had for a long time (not just GLE's)

So my system started doing this today. I get the same message but if I park the vehicle for a while and start it up, navigation works fine. Next time I try and use it, get the same error message. No consistency on when I works or doesn't?? Software is up to date and has been working fine since the last update on 2021-08-05.

I just had this happen on my 2021 53 AMG while driving around town three days ago. Pulled over, restarted car and same message. I got home and then went out to the car an hour later started car and everything in Nav working normally. My car was in the garage for the one hour. Strange???

Forgot to report that I had this issue also 2 weeks ago. The only way I got it resolved was to let it sit for at least a couple of hours locked in my garage.

I tried shutting it down by pressing the power button longer and choose "System Off", and that won't work. Also shut down the engine and restarted within a minute, also didn't work.

When it was back on, I had to re-set the map mode to 3D like I had before, otherwise the red arrow is wonky (it sat behind the footer overlay).

This happened on our 9-day trip a couple of weeks ago. Once we got to our destination, it started working fine next time I restarted the engine. That was the first and only time I've seen that happen.

Cheers,

TMobile to Blame?

Is this happening because of the Mercedes Me and Nav search function going to TMobile from AT&T? OTA for all Mercedes North America going to TMobile as I understand and service will not be available unless there is a strong LTE signal from TMobile or one of its partners. I had a similar problem but I did not get the screen you have a pic of and it related to no LTE according to MB.

Same happened to me today, 21 model GLE350 with 2k miles. Did a restart after 2 hrs and it came back on.

Wierd....wonder if it saves some type of trouble code record for troubleshooting later by dealer?
