So…you are only thinking the air suspension might be the only deletion? You didn’t order Augmented Reality and no deletion of wireless charging pad? I’ve got a build date of Oct 10 and have been told my only deletion is AR. We will see.
i had two deletions: AR and Dashcam. I never considered the wireless charging as an option to order (it wasn’t on the build options list) but to me it’s not a deal breaker because I have a 12 Pro Max amen I know it doesn’t fit.

The wireless charging pad is standard feature, but more than one person has said it was deleted anyway. On this forum, I saw a letter from MB which said it was deleted along with Dash Cam and AR. Don’t remember what else was deleted. I like the charging pad in my wife’s E350 as I can hook up my phone for CarPlay while she charges hers on the pad. I’m sorry to miss out AR, but maybe it will still show up as it’s early in the 2022 build cycle.
I am definitely not happy. Even though the items are not deal breakers and some of it was novelty, but so was the whole idea of buying this car. A Hyundai is perfectly functional for pretty much all use cases.
So far I have lost wireless charging, augmented reality and now air balance.
Some messages on the thread suggest that there are other items being dropped sneakily like exterior door handle lighting due to chip shortages.
If my dealer comes back with one more deleted item, I will call it quits.
Sadly, it’s not like I have too many options with other cars. Even with these deleted items the GLE is better equipped and optioned than the competition, but it’s just that I feel I am not getting what I want.
problem is this chips shortage applies to all car manufacturers globally, so if we need a car in coming months we have no option... my dealer recommended me to go for leasing so I can just swap for another one which is 100% what I like in 2 / 3 years

I just got an offer from Chase/United about leasing or purchasing a MB vehicle and getting a discount. For the GLE it is $1,000 off so I’ve printed out my offer while I wait for mine to be ready. I hope I get the offer, I’ll keep you posted.

It says MY2021 for now, so assuming it is not good for a MY2022 order.

It's an improved credit now. Before, it was at "participating dealers only," and the dealer could honor or not. They didn't honor the MBCA credit on our '19 GLC300 in 2018, so I assumed there must be some dealer participation, that would cost them some money.
Now, it's an actual Fleet Purchase, which doesn't cost the dealer money (as far as I can tell), and MBCA provides a fleet number that the dealer enters and gets full credit. (I think)
I used the MBCA fleet number (Control Number) towards the purchase of our AMG53 in March.
However I don't think it can be applied until the actual delivery, and the amount of discount varies over time.
Apparently there will be a slowdown on GLE production in Alabama. There is a shortage of latches/power tailgate functionality of which there will be cars waiting at the VPC for.
Is the shortage based on a MB official notification? I have a GLE 450 scheduled for production on the middle of October and my salesperson keeps telling me that it is on "schedule." Thanks.

I was not informed of how large of scale the shortage was or when it will take effect, this news came just this morning. I am close with my dealer and am friends with the GM and just get any updates on how things are going, overall I was told that this is going to be the worst of it as production in general (not just GLE, or even Mercedes) will be slowing down for all brands. Hopefully any other dealer employees on the forums can add a light to this but all I was made aware to is that there will be a slowdown on the GLE due to tailgate parts, mainly latches which will cause cars to sit at the VPC, when and how many however we'll have to wait and see.
yeah , I got boned like that when I bought my second MB off the showroom floor. My Guy at the dealership turned me on to it because he knew I was buying. But when the I tried to use it. the dealer reneged . My Sale person was embarrassed. and I almost walked away form the deal. But it was only a $$ grand so I went ahead.

Supposedly I am 5th GLE 53 Coupe order in line at the dealer but dealer has NO ETA at all. just says it hasn't been accepted by the plant. Once they do I am expecting at least 2 more months minimum ... Sigh

I got mine today! MSRP minus the $1k from recent United promo with Chase. It is fantastic! I love the big HUD versus the smaller one in my E300.
Starting to get excited again, first time when I placed the order for my fully loaded 2022 GLE450 back in July and now that I saw a copy of my final build sheet and the knowledge it’s going into production. I originally had an October 1st decade production target, which is only a week away, but I think it’s running a few days early. I will know more about delivery timetable in a couple of weeks. The only things that did not make the initial ordering cut were the U19 AR, 21U Dashcam, and the DC8pkg Airmatic suspension, I was very bummed, but felt not a deal breakers. On the final build sheet, the factory gave line item refunds for a non operating P21 Air Balance of $350 (Code D90) and a credit of $200 for a missing Standard wireless charging (Code D6J), once again I was aware this might happen based on the latest DOG that those items were limited, but they were on my original build sheet. Also, the final build sheet had all the correct pricing for all items that will match the Window Sticker for MSRP.

They did not put back any options I ordered that were cut. I’m just happy it’s going into production.

Ours has a production date of 10/27 with only the wireless charging system not being available. I did not order the AR, or Airmatic Suspension/Tire options since they were also not available. Will see what happens as we get close to production. We were also informed yesterday by our salesperson that the date could be sooner.

The only items I had deleted from my build were the Dashcam and the AR options. Everything else was there, including the wireless charging.
Btw I have an Apple case (mag safe) on my 12 Pro Max and it fits (barely) and charges my phone just fine.

I purchased the tall tub for the back and it’s awesome. Things do tend to slide a bit but it’s better than stuff spilling over the carpeted area. Also got the hard plastic floor mats and I like the way they look. Already paying dividends but I wish they had an option to cover the jump in the backseat. I added the heating option to the second seats and the automatic shades (lowered right now.)
