PPF

Have a 2022 GLE 450 with AMG exterior and night line arriving any day now. I need to get PPF asap after it arrives. The few techs around here aren't sure if they have a new template for the 22. Are any of you GLE experts able to tell if the 2022 w AMG is exactly the same front clip as the 21. I'm getting hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors and headlights.

I would contact Sun Stoppers, the owner Mike Burke has many years of experience and can handle a custom install for you if patterns do not match.

This place is a joke.
PPF is a great option for those neurotic OCD owners who want their car to be perfect for the next owner. And don't forget to stack those floor mats! You definitely want to protect the mat that protects your floor carpet. 3 layers are preferred, just to make sure they crush nicely up against the gas pedal.

There is no difference between the '21 and '22. Facelift is coming next year...

No need to deride those of us who don't like paint chips and trips to the paint shop.
My main road to the Big City is a train of gravel trucks for 40 miles, leaving behind plenty of road missiles to soar through the air.
I'm getting my third windshield in six months. I wish I had done a more complete PPF on the hood of our GLC, since it has a substantial dent through the primer, in the hood right in front of the driver's (Wife's) vision.
An ounce of prevention, as they say.

If you have a "City Car" with door dings and key scrapes, it may not matter. But I like looking at a nice car.

Thanks for your useless reply. I have sorted it with your other posts. I'm sure you can feel them, assuming you are smart enough to get my drift.

My wife has an E350. After a 2000 mile road trip, we had four chips on the leading edge of the hood. I prefer not to live with that damage and like you, prefer to look at a nice car. Last poster goes into my junk folder.

I was under the impression that there was a change in the headlights which I assumed might affect the front fenders. Disagree?? Thanks for you post, btw.

The facelift will have updated headlights/tail lights and bumpers. This should come in 2022. In Europe it will be a 22 model, in the US/CA a MY23...

Thanks for the info. I’ll contact the film guy. He doesn’t mind that I’m OCD, LOL. Appreciate your help.
