Seat ventilation
Here’s the problem….when I put either seat ventilation on , the fans run for exactly 3 min, 30 sec, and then turn off. The 3 blue lights stay lit. If I try to turn them off and then back on, the fans do not turn on. If I turn the vehicle off, then they will come on, but again, only for 3 min,30 sec. I’ve been to 2 dealers and after extensive reviews with their shop foreman’s, they cannot improve it and say it’s operating as designed. I can’t believe that ventilation for the first 3 min of a 4 hr road trip is what MB had in mind. Any suggestions?

I never timed mine but have noticed that the fan goes on and off for whatever reason. I've never noticed them not coming back on though if that is what you're saying. Definitely not a great implementation of ventilated seats.

Had an issue with driver's side ventilated seat - fan was stuck at low power. Dealer replaced the fan/heating equipment. They told me it is programmed to first suck air from back area behind seat then operated for a period of time at high ( if you have set at high) then modulate down to low setting even if you keep at high with the three lights on the control. I works as designed now - told them it is sort of a stupid set up and the manual should clearly explain the operation.

I too have noticed this same thing, however after a while it does continue to work fine. I had it on for a 2-3 hour long drive and at first i forgot about it but we stopped at a rest stop it was indeed working. It was pretty warm out and my back ALWAYS sweats during long drives and it kept me nice and cool.
Agreed that they should spell out the expected behavior in the owners manual so its not a guessing game as to whats happening.

I'm having a similar issue with my ventilated seats. However, with the addition of my seat actually getting hotter with the ventilation fan on. My dealer has also said that's normal. But, how can it be called ventilated seats if they are getting hotter. The MB Shop Technician even said it was getting hotter. But the shop foreman and shop manager overruled the technician. That's some BS. Sounds like management's bonus amount is on the line. I do plan to write a letter/email to MB Headquarters. Not sure if that will even help. I had a KIA with better ventilated seats than these on my 2022 GLE450.
