GLE Active Parking assist vs Parking assist code
Hi,
I assumed active parking assist is the ability to auto-park (parallel/perpendicular) and I see that as a standard feature in GLE 2020 onwards.
I also see Parking assist code (P47) in the premium package. That is confusing. What is the difference between 'Active Parking Assist' and 'Parking assist code' ?

One of the dealers responded to this question and explained that Parking assist code is the surround view camera showing live surroundings and active parking assist is the auto-parking of the GLE model.

Yes. The "acitve park assist" which includes the sensors and the softwear for auto parking is standard from the new generation (2020+) except for a few thoudand early built cars (Nov2018-Feb2019) that were built with Active lane Keep Assist and missing standard active park assist ($970 credit). For the premium package on the 2021 and 2022 models, P47 Parking assist means the surround view camera. So the GLE comes standard with the back up camera, but this adds the cameras under the mirrors and in the grill and the camera views on the screen. That's all.
