Hi our 2022 GLE does barely fit in the garage in new home. The trunk cannot be opened as when it opens to fullest height, the rear glass hits the garage door. Is there a way to lower the default opening height? is there a way to reduce the height of the car in general? We are in Anaheim Hills area and there are a lot of catalytic converter thefts happening so reluctant to park it in driveway. Thanks for any tips.
When the tailgate is opening, press the close button to stop at the location where you want to set the height, and then press and hold until it beeps to set it to the new "default" height.
I just stop the tailgate by grabbing it at or near the position I wanted to be, then adjust it up and down by pushing and pulling.
Once I have it in the position where I want it to stop, I push the button and wait for the ding.
Same result, but I find it easier to just put the tailgate where I want it.
This has nothing to do with the tailgate height, however by pushing a button on driver’s door you can fold in both your side view mirrors. This makes a huge difference for me when going in and out of my garage. You are probably aware of this however just wanted to let you know just in case.
