Factory staggered all-seasons in the snow
Taking a trip to the mountains with the family this weekend and the forecast calls for 60% snow precipitation at the moment. Looking for feedback from those who have experience with the 21” staggered all-season tires in light snow, particularly those who don’t swap wheels/tires for the winter thank you.

I swap to Winter T&W but have driven in a blizzard with my 21” Continental AS. In just snow they work fine but in greasy hard pack be careful…no comparison to dedicated winters.

A trip in the mountains with snow is definitely a reason to get a separate set of winter wheels/tires. Too late for you now, but my cayenne with 21” Conti all seasons couldn’t handle the Midwest snow this morning and I had to turn around. And that’s on flat terrain.

Mine has the 21" staggered Pirelli's and they are definitely squirrelly on the snow, expected for a tire that wide and being all-season. It really depends on the driver's experience too. The Off Road mode helps a bit with throttle modulation and keeping it in gear though, so you may want to engage that while on the snow. Agree with @Ron.s though, careful on those icy hard packs, definitely don't want to get on that, at all with the all-seasons.
Nothing beats a full winter set up though, so highly recommend that if you make that trip often. With that said, I do carry the AutoSock just in case we get to the extremes.

I had all seasons on my 43 and they were no good in the snow. Even on flat ground I was sliding all over. Now that I have the 53 I put winter wheels and tires and it is night and day difference.
