No allocation

First time trying to order a car. The closest dealer has no allocation for GLE53, and can only give the range of 5-6 months.

If I want to go with them, is there anything for me to take care of? I can wait 6 months, but I just don't want to waste time or deposit, and end up with nothing.

Or, should I order a GLE450 instead? Pretty much sure I can get it before this summer. Any suggestion?

Not sure how much time you will save I just ordered a 350 a week ago and said scheduled build date would be May 1. If it's 6 months for your wait you might be getting the refresh as well on the 53.

Neither car is readily available. I would ask your dealer how many of each they are typically allocated and if there are any orders in their order bank waiting to be filled.
Allocations typically come out mid month.

There's always a possibility your order could be cancelled for whatever reason but if you can wait, don't settle on anything less than what you want.
