GLE300d Wheels 2022 Australia

Hi All - I'm planning to book in a MB GLE300d in Australia and stuck in a dilemma to chose from following 20inch 5 Spoke alloy wheels (which looks OK) and 21 inch multi spoke alloy wheels (looks awesome). I'm also planning to add on air suspension with adaptive dampening as its not a standard feature of 300d. I'll need some thoughts on why or why not should I go for 21ich multi spoke alloys with AMG sport package? Thanks in advance.

Mercedes Benz AMG GLC 63s
The car you chose is not a performance oriented model - even the 63GLE is a fat pig; so what wheels/ tires you choose ought to be decided upon either aesthetically or functionally…perhaps both.

My car is the GLC63-s model with the 21” AMG wheels, which actually look great yet…YET, there are much better AND lighter after market options to be had.

If I were you - which I’m obviously not; I would option the cheapest OEM wheelset then use the money saved to get a great set of aftermarket wheels, which would lighten the rotational weight of the car.

Up to you…

If the performance package comes with better brakes and what not, then I’d obviously choose that.

The 20 inch with definitely give you a better ride, if that is something you care about, I know cos I also own one set of OEM 21” and have swapped back and forth.

Otherwise agree with the above post, rock on with the looks of the larger wheels.

Well, we have a 350 with 21” wheels, the black highlighted ones, with the black AMG look over Selenite. We didn’t plan on that combo but walked into a dealer and saw it on the floor. Done deal, took it home. It rides fine, no issues and roads in SoCal were we are now are worse than in Oz (we’re from Melbourne).

If you like the 21s better and can afford them, go for it. Ride is fine with Airmatic. And the sport package is a huge improvement, IMO. Besides initial cost, tire replacement will be more, but I have 27k km on my original Pirellis Scorpion Zero A/S and very little wear.
